
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 24 (MExN): The Hindu Seva Samiti Dimapur organized a Vijaya Sammelan and award ceremony on October 20 at the Pranab Jubilee Auditorium, Bharat Sevashram Sangha. The annual event was to celebrate Durga Puja with high religious spirit and to promote the rich cultural heritage of the region among the various puja pandals in Dimapur.
This year, the awards for overall maintenance were presented to the top three Durga Puja committees. The Public Ground Youth Durga Puja Committee secured first place, followed by the Sarbajanin Netaji Railway Colony Durga Puja Committee in second, and the Railway PWI Durga Puja Committee in third. Consolation prizes were awarded to the Hazi Park Durga Puja Committee, Hongkong Market, and Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee, D-Colony.
Additional awards recognized various aspects of the celebrations. The Best Pratima/Idol in Creativity award went to the Sitla Mandir Durga Puja Committee, while the Best Pratima/Idol award was given to the Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee from Netaji Colony. The Best Discipline award was awarded to the Sarbajanin Durga Mandir Puja Committee from Xuvihe Colony, and the Best Decoration award went to the Shree Durga Mandir Trust Committee at the Old Daily Market.
The Best Religious Conduct award was presented to the Nepali Basti Durga Puja Committee, while the Best Puja Ambience award was given to the Westyard Durga Mandir Puja Committee. The Best Cleanliness award went to the 6th Mile Shree 108 Nava Durga Puja Samiti, and the Best Debut Puja 2024 award was awarded to the Lotha Colony Durga Puja Committee. A Special Selection Award was also presented to the Khermahal Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee.
The Hindu Seva Samiti extended gratitude to the judges for their efforts in selecting the awardees and thanked the citizens of Dimapur for their overwhelming support in conducting the Durga Puja celebrations.
