Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): City Law College, Dimapur, in collaboration with the NACO Cell, organised an HIV and AIDS awareness programme at the college Moot Court hall on the theme “Zero Stigma, Better Tomorrows.”
The resource person for the event was Titepeni Merry, MICTC Counsellor, who stressed the importance of HIV awareness. Merry urged young people to be open to discussing issues related to unprotected sex and its consequences, noting timely preventive measures are essential for preventing HIV and AIDS and saving lives.
The programme was attended by faculty and students of City Law College, along with faculty and Class 9 and 10 students of Government High School, stated a press release.

Chaired by Ilino Heto Zhimomi of the 1st semester, the programme commenced with an invocation by Mezhulhousieno Nakhro, Advisor, EU, followed by greetings from Lipavi Yepthomi, Nodal Officer, RRC, City Law College.
The awareness session was followed by interactive rapid question hour, during which faculty and students actively participated, asking questions and clarifying their doubts relating to HIV and AIDS.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Chailong Chungdok, President, CLCSU, followed by the benediction by Hipulo Jimo, Organising Secretary, CLCSU.
An important component of the programme was the participation of the MICTC Team, which conducted HIV testing activities.
