Hokivi renews commitment to work for people

BJP candidate from ward no 19 for the ensuing DMC polls, H. Hokivi Chishi on Friday renewed his commitment to work for the welfare of the people of ward no 19.  

Addressing hundreds of people during his candidature declaration programme at New Market, Dimapur, Hokivi said he was overwhelmed with the support received from the people owing to whom he could give a facelift to the New Market area by requesting the authorities to look into several issues.  

“I have been living with you for the last 20 years and have a sense of satisfaction working for the welfare of the people,” he said.  

Hokivi expressed his desire to put in more efforts to work towards progress and development of ward no 19 if the people voted him to power.  

Stating that he would stand for responsibility and good governance, Hokivi appealed to the voters of ward no 19 to extend their support and cooperation to him.  

Intending candidate from ward no 19, Joseph Sumi who withdrew his candidature to support Hokivi appealed to the people to vote in favour of the latter.  

Representatives from Muslim Community, Nurul Haque; Marwari Community, Shivpal Joshi and Bengali Community, Dipak Acharjee also spoke at the programme.  

The programme was attended by State and District level BJP leaders, BJP intending candidates including Vikheho Zhimo, Ikato and Meweu Lasuh.
