Morung Express News Dimapur | April 21 A total of 19 schools from some of the leading schools in the city participated in the Inter-School Competition which was organized as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS). The Inter-School Competition was organized to provide a platform for young minds to exhibit their intellectual talents and enhance their curiosity traits. Held at the CHSS Covenant Hall, the schools were represented by two students each. The competition began with the introduction of the quiz master Ajay Poonia and contestants from each school. The quiz master, a young and avid quizzer himself, conducted the competition in a very interactive way and the audience was seen to be having the most fun. The questions brought forth to the teams were very intriguing and challenging. The audience also got the chance to answer the questions when the teams failed to answer. And they were rewarded with chocolates every time! The final round was battled by six teams from Maple Tree School, Pranab Vidyapith, Kendra Vidyalaya, Christian Higher Secondary School, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, and Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School .It had different sections which the teams could choose and play for, like: Infinite Bounce (C), Anagrams, Infinite Bounce (A), Take Your Pick, Who Dares Win. Holy Cross Higher Secondary School emerged as the champion scoring 45 points, while Kendra Vidyaliya was the runners-up with 44 points, and Maple Tree School took the second runners-up position with 20 points. Chief Guest Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS), Assistant Commissioner, Dimapur, presented a brief speech where he encouraged he students to expand their horizon and possess the curiosity to know more. He also represented the audience members and actively participated in the quiz competition, answering several questions correctly.
