Prize distribution programme for photography competition on the theme ‘Language of Textile’ in Commemoration of 75 Years of India’s Independence was held at the office of the District Cultural Officer, Kiphire on October 29 with LRD Kiphire, District Project Officer, Lipichem Sangtam as special guest.
In his speech, Lipichem said that photography is an art which everyone cannot do. Citing photography as the visual language, he appealed to the gathering to honour the photography profession. Lipichem asked the photographers to have ethics and integrity in discharging their job. “One should be humble oneself to be successful in whatever work they undertake,” he said.
He also congratulated Tongrili Sangtam for achieving the 1st prize in the competition in state level photography competition held in Kohima.
District Cultural Officer, Kiphire, P Yongwe Wumnok delivered a welcome address while Villa S Thonger, Assistant Research Officer, Kiphire said the vote of thanks.
