Kohima, December 7 (MExN): Novaturient Managements presented Hornbill Fashion Night under the theme ‘Lieyie Fall/Winter 2022’ at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima on December 6.
The event was supported by Tourism Department, Government of Nagaland.
‘Lieyie’ is derived from Angami dialect meaning harvesting “our accolades,” an expression use in garnering acknowledgement of merit.
The theme seeks to build a bridge between past glory and future bounty, present being the instigator.
‘Lieyie’ aspires to wield the rich Naga textiles in alliance to find new roots and create a synthesis of fantasy and reality.
This collection gave Naga designer’s to vent their creativity in producing a striking new look, an intensifying performance, an enhanced luxury and a peerless craftsmanship.
23 models joined the event. The designers included: Mulutalü Chuzho, Elijah Gangmei, Reema T Swu and Mitchel Dzüvichü.
The showstopper was Lovi Awomi, Miss India Nagaland 2022.
