Hornbill Festival: ‘Naga Gala’ to be held from Dec 3 to 10  

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The Native Trax Society (NTS) will be organising the ‘Naga Gala’ from December 3 to 10. The event will be part of the Hornbill Festival to be held at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th Mile, Sovima, Chümoukedima, it stated in an official release. 

The ‘Naga Gala’ will feature Cosplay Competition in collaboration with Dimapur Anime Guild and the 1st ever ‘Naga Thali Challenge’ Eating Competition on December 3. 

The ‘Naga Thali Challenge’ Eating Competition with the theme ‘Dangerously Delicious’ is being held to promote and put the spotlight on our unique Naga cuisine to help boost tourism and present Nagaland as a unique destination. This event will pit champion eaters against one another in their bid to finish a huge ethnic Naga meal including but not limited to– generous helpings of rice, meat, King Chilli etc, it stated. 

The ‘Naga Gala’ will also feature an Art Exhibition. This exhibit will showcase the creative works of talented Naga artists which will be put up for display and sale at the venue. NTS invites art connoisseurs to come, admire and encourage our local artists.

The grand finale on December 10 will be the awards presentation ceremony of the 14th Music Awards of Nagaland (MAN) 2022. Apart from honouring the best homegrown music makers in various genres the show will also feature performances by renowned performers.

This event is being held in collaboration with NBDA and Department of Tourism, Nagaland. The event is also supported by TaFMA, Techno Music India, Cinescope, Red box, Loreni Wardrobe, Myriad Branding (Branding Partner) & Hills FM (Radio Partner).
