Hornbill International Music Festival 2018 (HIMF) was declared open by Gugs Chishi, Consultant, Music Task Force today, here at Agri Expo Site Dimapur. Bringing greetings from the Chief Minister, Government of Nagaland, Gugs said that the 10-day music festival was all about celebrating the youthful talents of Nagaland and pushing limits to be the best in the country.
The Day-1 dubbed as Nagaland unleashed, featured renowned bands including Lords of Rock, Cosmic impact, Avancer, Annie’s OK and Paper Sky entertained the music lovers.
Thirty-two food stalls offering authentic local cuisines and international dishes are available at the venue. From Corn dog to Galho, Jadoh to Turkish grilled kebab, these appetizing menus are worth a try. A2 stall from Dimapur is serving Pfutsero special Zutho and Naga style silkworm with local artists performing. Locally prepared wine made from the finest of berries and fruits from the hills of Nagaland can be found ranging from Rs 500 to 700. Sticky rice and dumplings, Samuthu, Hamuk, grasshopper fry are popular delicacies available. Stalls offering Naga Indigenous attires and ornaments are also available.
The second day of HIMF, ‘Praise Sunday’ will witness performances from various Christian music bands and artists such as Beyond Sunday, Jack Pucho and the Warehouse Worship, Power Faith and Tali Angh.
