Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): A fire broke out in Seiuruzha Ward-8, Chumoukedima on June 6, burning down a kitchen and partially damaging kutcha houses in the area.
On receiving a fire alert, Fire & Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Chumoukedima and rushed to the spot, a press release from T Shilu Jamir, Dy SP (F&ES) stated.
The fire personnel contained the fire within 35 minutes and prevented it from spreading to adjoining areas, it added. While no casualty was reported, the kitchen was completely razed and property worth 4 Lakh approximately was lost in the incident. The fire was reportedly due to “drying of pork meat.”
