How can you call spade a spade: if you do not know what a spade is?

Nagas are very fond of Shows and tall political announcements we have no knowledge of its Reality: Road Shows, Christianity for Show, Reconciliation for Show, Peace Rally for Show, political maneuvers for Show; Supra OR Pan Naga State for Show, Interim Government for it Sound, shared Sovereignty for its sweet hearing and Unity for Show.

Just the other day there was a PEACE RALLY  of small School Children in the Street of Dimapur. Do you really believe Tribalism will run away from the Naga Society if we make our School Children skip their Classes and make them a take Peace Procession in the Streets disturbing the whole Traffic in our Town with Placards the children have no knowledge of their significance?

A few days ago there were two Articles in the local Papers on the need of calling Spade a Spade in the lives and actions in our Society, one beautifully written by Dr. Sangyü Iralu and one by me.

When I saw pictures of small school children, with great fanfare made to have a Peace Rally; it struck me how one can make Nagas realize Spade is a Spade if they do not know what a Spade is ?

A Naga man in self defense killed another and fearful of trouble emerging, the administrative Officer promulgated Curfew; a great group of Villagers enthusiastically gathered to see what kind of look Curfew is, thinking it to be a person! If you do not know Curfew, you cannot call Curfew a Curfew.

When we do not know what a Spade is: How can we call Spade a Spade?

What can we do to correct the frenzied madness in Dimapur on 1st September 2012?

By calling it ‘not Communal’? If it is not communal:

Then what is it? -A Tsunami? If it is a Tsunami, how can we charge Tsunami a Criminal ? And how can one teach Tsunami it wrong to do such senseless destruction? A Tsunami has no sense of Regret. It cannot express Regret or it cannot say: ‘Sorry’.

To stamp out such destructive forces of senseless Mob from our Society:

The Government appointed Fact Finding Committee must:

i.   identify the Leaders who gave Leadership to the Sheep.

ii.  the Leaders must be declared publicly and punished exemplarily as per law of the land.

iii. identify who shot Kisheto Achumi  and the Khezhama Woman.

iv. find how and why Kisheto met his end.

Our Sumi brothers have publicly declared they would pay for all the destroyed items. Very good, a very good conciliatory gesture; but the Government also must be made to pay for its lack of responsibility.

If the Government had resolutely, decisively and promptly prevented the unlawful forceful shutting down of all the Shops in Dimapur that fateful morning and showed half the responsibility of Late Mr. SC Deb, former Officer of Nagaland, things could not have gone perhaps to such a sorry extant of over-dozed anger in the community.

Personally I have known no greater problem arisen between the Angamis and the Sümis; how the two more privileged of the Naga Communities conduct themselves in the coming days will show the kind of Man and Woman they are and their quality of a people. I hope they would not prove less than what they would want to be.

I hope all the Bureaucrats, all the Ministers in charge of the Departments also learn a precious lesson too to make Nagaland a better place to live in future for all in Nagaland.
