Kohima, August 18 (MExN): Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) has donated a school bus to Cherry Blossoms School, Kohima. General Manager (Aviation) of HPCL, Dilip Kumar Pattanaik handed over the keys of the customized school bus to D. Adani, the President of Cherry Blossoms Society, Kohima.
The handing over function was held at HPCL‘s Guwahati Aviation unit in the presence of other officials of the company and school representatives.
The school run by the Cherry Blossoms Society provides education to the differently abled children, among other things. Students who are wheel chair users have to come to school with great difficulty, highlighted Adani, adding due to the topography of the area and poverty, many children are not able to come for regular school.
The customized bus with special ramp will fulfill the need of transportation for ferrying the specially abled children for regular schooling, said the president of the society while acknowledging the donation.
