
PEREN, JUNE 18 (MExN): The Zeliang Officers’ Association Nagaland (ZOAN) organised a felicitation programme for the Top 20 achievers of the HSLC Examination 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, New District Headquarters, Peren, on June 16.
Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru, congratulated the students for bringing laurels to the community and said their achievement marked only the beginning of a longer academic and professional journey. Encouraging the students to seek divine wisdom and strength to overcome future challenges, the DC reminded them of their roles as ambassadors of the district.
He also urged the achievers to contribute to the development of Peren, particularly in the education sector, and to share ideas that could help improve local governance and infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, Cherakung Zeliang, IFS, Regional Passport Officer and Head of MEA Branch, Guwahati, also congratulated the toppers and noted that their performance had naturally raised societal expectations. He encouraged the students to surpass those expectations and remain committed to excellence.
Certificates and cash awards were presented to the achievers by ZOAN. HSLC 2025 Topper, Lungyihangle, expressed gratitude to the Association for recognising their efforts and motivating them through the programme.
Keynote address was delivered by ZOAN President, Keyirangding Hegui. Peihou Nsarangbe, General Secretary, ZOAN, presided over the programme, while Rev. Haiku Nza, Pastor, Peren Town Baptist Church, invoked blessings. The programme concluded with remarks by Er. Kewizun Zeliang, Vice President, ZOAN.
