Kohima, June 15 (MExN): The Kohima District Planning & Development Board organized a felicitation programme for the HSLC Topper amongst the government schools under Kohima district on June 15 at DPDB’s Conference Hall, Kohima. DIPR reported that Advisor, Rural Development, Dr. Nicky Kire congratulated the Topper Heurangdaile Guing for her excellent achievement and encouraged her to do well even in the days to come and to become a leader of tomorrow to contribute something to the society.
Speaking on behalf of the family members of Lt. Dr. Neilhouzhu Kire, Former MLA Abao Kire said that his late father was an educationist and first Naga matriculate who passed out in the year 1918. He said that “Dr. Neilhouzhu Kire Angami Award 2018” has been awarded to the topper in commemorating the 100 years of his late father’s matriculation. He expressed gratitude to the members of Kohima DPDB for organizing such platform to encourage the students. He also gave away the award to the HSLC topper.
Heurangdaile Guing, HSLC Topper from Ruzhukhrie GHSS, Kohima in her speech thanked her teachers, parents and guardian for their efforts and support in achieving her success. She also thanked the Kohima DPDB under the chairmanship of Advisor Er Zale Neikha for organising such programmes.
Vice Principal, Ruzhukhrie GHSS, Kohima in her speech gave a brief profile of the topper Heurangdaile Guing who joined the School in the year 2013. DC and Vice Chairman Kohima DPDB, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS who also chaired the programme stated that it was a time to retrospect performance for the government schools and advised the teachers to analyze the avenues and scope to improve the performance in a better way in future. He handed over the DPDB Certificate of Merit and cash award to the recipient.
