DIMAPUR, JUNE 21 (MExN): The Department of Higher Technical Education Nagaland has been criticized for inaugurating two foundation stones for one polytechnic institution in Longleng district.
A press statement issued by the Tamlu Yongnyah and Namsang Area Public Forum (TYNA) which comprises of 24 villages, said the recent inauguration of the foundation stone of polytechnic institute at Nahah junction, Hukphang is the same as the one erected on September 26, 2017 at Yungho Yongnyah by N Thomas Lotha, the then parliamentary secretary, higher technical education.
The Forum also alleged that the present minister for higher technical education, Temjen Imna Along did not listen to the appeal made by several organizations to do justice to the polytechnic institute in Longleng district.
It further alleged that the tactic so employed is nothing but a “design to play a divisive policy to the Phom people in particular and ENPO in general.”
In this connection, the Forum has informed all its political leaders, public leaders, intellectuals, village councils, goan buras, student leaders, officers, village citizen office bearers and all the unions of different places to reach Tamlu town for an emergency meeting on June 24, 2019.
