Chumukedima, June 21 (MExN): Excise personnel stationed at Chumukedima check gate under the command of Toshiho Yeptho (IE) seized 53,200 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon from a taxi. The seized consignment, sent from Kolkata by Kamrup Express train parcel service to Dimapur, was being taken to Imphal, Manipur. The drugs were found in two bags concealed beneath other bags of children toys and flip-flops. The drugs were meticulously packed and mechanically sealed in tea leave packs in order to evade detection, a press release informed. “The seizure is one of the biggest in Dimapur in recent times,” said C. Sangtam, Superintendent of Excise Dimapur in the release. Thangkinlun Kipgen of N. Khonom village in Senapati, Manipur was arrested in connection with the case and further investigation is on.
