Hunting Boots emerged as champion of the 6th Albatross 7-men Soccer Tournament organized by the Albatross club after beating Red Devils 4-1 in the finals at Senayangba Government Higher Secondary Ground, Ungma village on December 20.
Hunting Boots, consisting of mostly senior players completely denominated the game from the start.
The champion walked away with a cash prize of Rs 40,000 along with the trophy and certificates and medals while the runner-up received Rs 20,000 plus medals and certificates.
The individuals included Highest Scorer- Osen from Hunting Boots, Best Keeper-Ayim from Red Devils and Player of the Tournament was awarded to Meyasenba from Hunting Boots.
The two-day tournament was participated by 18 teams from Mokokchung District. Earlier Mapujungla Pongen Advocate was the match patron in the final match while the tournament was kicked off by N Bendang Jamir, President as the Chief Patron on December 19. The tournament was organized by Albatross Football Club.
