Kiphire, November 7 (MExN): The Hutanger Village Council has strongly supported Hurong Village Council with regard to construction of road from Kichang to Hutanger via Huronger Village under PMGSY Phase-VIII. The work order for the same was allotted to M/SS Semp & Co dated 3rd March 2012.
Hutanger Village Council Chairman, Kiumusu in a press release said that thousands of innocent people are suffering and facing difficulties due to the delay in the completion of the road construction work. “The Hurong and Hutanger villages cannot be just a mute spectator to the specter act and of the injustices meted out on the part of the contractor,” the council stated, adding that rights of an individual and the community cannot be hampered in any way because of the incompetence of the particular contractor.
The council also requested the department concerned to extend necessary support while executing the work and also pressurize the contractors, so as to complete the work within allotted period. “If the said contractor fails to fulfill, the concerned villages would be compelled to act as given in the terms and conditions of the work order,” added the Hutanger VCC.
