I Temjenba was a true patriot: FGN

KOHIMA, JANUARY 24 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed grief and shock over the demise of late I Temjenba Longkumer, Kedallo, FGN who passed away on January 23 in Kohima. 

In a condolence message, FGN Kedahge Gen (Retd) Viyalie Metha said late I Temjenba hailing from Longkhum village joined NCC in 1954 and served as a Naga Youth Information Officer in 1955. He then served as an Office Assistant of the Kedahge office in 1963. He was then nominated as a Tatar of the FGN and elected as the Kedallo of the FGN in 2010 and served till his last breath. 

Describing late I Temjenba as a dedicated leader and a true patriot, the FGN said he was a recipient of Nagaland Star, the highest award for the Naga nation. His sudden demise will create a great vacuum for the nation but his patriotic deeds and sacrificial services rendered shall always remain in the annals of the Naga nation, the condolence message read. 

The FGN has extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members of the deceased with prayer for peace and solace for the mourners at this hour of grief.
