The fortnight-long campaign, aimed at raising awareness on cleanliness and environmental sustainability, was led by Dr. Moanaro, the in-charge of Swachhta Abhiyan.
The Swachhta Pakwada featured a series of impactful activities designed to engage the community and promote sustainable practices. One of the key events was the Swachhta Pledge Day, where participants took an oath to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. Awareness programs on sanitation and waste management were conducted, highlighting the importance of proper disposal and recycling.
A significant part of the campaign was the cleanliness drives, which took place in public spaces as well as within the KVK campus. The Green Drive initiative was another highlight, encouraging the planting of trees to promote environmental sustainability. Community outreach programs were organized to engage local villagers in the ongoing cleanliness efforts, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.
The celebration of Kisan Diwas, which emphasized sustainable farming and environmental care, was also incorporated into the campaign. In addition, an essay and drawing competition was held for 25 schoolchildren on the theme “Swachhta: A Collective Responsibility,” allowing the younger generation to actively participate in the initiative.
