ICAR-NRC on Mithun organises training & input distribution prog

Medziphema, February 17 (MExN): ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Nagaland, in collaboration with ICAR-NDRI ERS Regional Station, Karnal, organized a one-day training program and input distribution under the SCSP program today at Chandanpur village, Birbhum district, West Bengal, as per a press release from ICAR-NRC on Mithun Medziphema. 

 

As part of the initiative, 100 live female Black Bengal goats were distributed to 100 Scheduled Caste (SC) farmers, particularly women, to support their livelihood through sustainable goat farming. 

Experts also delivered lectures on scientific breeding and management of goats, equipping farmers with essential knowledge for improved animal husbandry practices. Goats were also vaccinated and ear tagged with the help of ICAR NDRI ERS staff.
