Wokha, September 24 (MExN): The department of social welfare Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) project, Wokha observed Rashtriya Poshan month under the theme, "Water sanitation and hygiene (WASH)", and "menstrual hygiene for girls at Orchid Colony Wokha on September 21.
A press release issued by Nchumthung odyuo, Supervisor ICDS projects, Wokha stated that the programme was organised by the ICDS project Wokha under social welfare department along with the ministry convergence department, including PHED department, department of school education and department of urban development agency. The topic on Water sanitation and hygiene (WASH)", was deliberated by Bito T Jimo, SDO PHED Wokha, while "menstrual hygiene for girls", was address by Erenbeni Kikon Sr. Supervisors. Short speeches were also presented by the department of school education and DUDA Department of Urban Development Agency (DUDA).
The welcome address was delivered by Nchumthung Odyuo supervisors ICDS project Wokha. The programme was attended by the Angawadi workers and helpers, Adolescent girls and beneficiaries children. Sanitary napkins and nutritional supplementary foods were also distributed to the participants by the social welfare department to mark the occasion, the release said.
