Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): The ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN) orientation programme day-two was attended by students from the Departments of Commerce, Computer Science and Library and information Science on September 28. IUN Vice Chancellor, Dr AK Verma delivered the welcome address, stated a press release.  

Guest of Honour, Dr KK Sarma, Scientist and Director, North Eastern Space Applications Centre, Meghalaya stressed on the scope and employment opportunities available in learning computer science, commerce and library science. He advised that students to be optimistic and realize ones potential and capitalize it for ones betterment, for parents and for humanity. 

Dr U Jeya Santhi, Director, Scientific Analysis Group, DRDO Ministry of Defence, New Delhi asked the students to open a new chapter of learning since the learning at the University differs from school and college learning as it is based on making learners to be self reliant, accountable and responsible. 

Dr S Venugopal, Director, National Institute of Technology, Dimapur as the chief guest emphasized on the importance of multi disciplinary learning and multi disciplinary skills. He said that the future has a great opportunity in the field of Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, Automation and Data Science. Students in this field with research attitudes have great potential of employment.
