Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): The ICFAI University Tripura organised online Faculty Development Program under the theme ‘Research Methodology, Publication and Data Analysis through SPSS’ from July 5 to 11 with the objectives to develop skills of research and enrich publication capabilities of researchers, faculties and other scholars.
A press note received here stated that the programme was designed for faculties and research scholars to acquaint themselves with advanced tools of research methodologies and skills to be adopted for publication of research papers in internationally acclaimed journals. The FDP covered various topics related to research methodology such as advanced Statistical tools with SPSS, Qualitative research, Project proposal writing guidelines, publication in reputed journals and PhD thesis writing guidelines.
A total of 118 participants from India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh and UK attended the programme. It was coordinated by Dr Sujit Deb and Dr Prasenjit Dasgupta.
Academicians from IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Bodh Gaya, IIIT-Allahabad, Gulf University, UAE , Blue Hora University, Ethiopia, Statistics Department MBB University and senior Faculty Members of The ICFAI University, Tripura were the resource people.
Prof (Dr) Biplab Halder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University shared on the importance of such contemporary issues which might expedite the research activities. Dr A Ranganath, Registrar of the University explained the importance to continue sharing of knowledge and maintenance of academic enthusiasm during this pandemic time.
Dr Abhishek Goel, IIM-Calcutta and Prof Kishor Meher Blue Hera University, Ethiopia attended the valedictory session and motivated the participants for their research activities. Dr Dhananjoy Datta Coordinator of Faculty of Management and Commerce extended the vote of thanks.
