ICRP round of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission at Chenloisho Village

Mon, November 29 (MExN): The 10 day-Internal Community Resource Person (ICRP) round of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) at Chenloisho village under Chen Block in Mon district concluded on November 28.  

During the entry point mobilization function, Rajuselie Lhousa, District Program Coordinator (financial inclusion) Mon, in his speech said National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is a women-driven programme, with a vision to reduce poverty by enabling the poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities resulting in appreciable improvement in their livelihoods through building strong and sustainable grassroots’ institutions—SHGs, of the poor. He shared that through the commitment and strong desire of the public representative of Chen area to enable its people see daylight, the Nagaland government approved taking up the NRLM in RD Block of Chen. He appealed the stakeholders to give full support and cooperation to make the community gain maximum benefit from the programme.  

A press release informed that out of 9 recognized villages, villages covered under ICRP round for mobilization and institutional building covered are Wangti, Chenmoho, Chingkao Chingnyu, C-Chingha, Choknyu and Chenloisho.  

The Internal Community Resource Person (ICRP) team included Wangchang Konyak, Area Coordinator (AC) Chen, and Nyunyem and Ngaplem, ICRPs respectively.  

Nokkhah Konyak, chairman of village council and Popa Konyak, Assistant Head GB welcomed and shared happiness on the initiative of the NSRLM. Stakeholders comprising the Angh Towang Konyak, VCMs and GBs representing Morungs and colonies, VDB, Teitong Konyak, Pastor of Chenloisho BC, women leaders, youth leaders registered in the programme.
