Kohima, November 25 (MExN): Modern College, Piphema will be organising a two-day ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar on the theme ‘Local Self Government in North-East India: Pattern and Dynamics’ on November 28 and 29 at the College Conference Hall. Dr Himabindu M, Coordinator, Department and Politics and Governance, Central University of Kashmir, Srinagar will be the keynote speaker. A total of 24 scholars, researchers and academicians from various states and Universities will be participating in the seminar. The two-day seminar will witness discussions on subjects relating to human rights, E-governance, Self Help Groups, Women's issues, Environment and local participation etc. The seminar is jointly organised by the Department of Political Science and History, Modern College.
