
Kohima, June 25 (DIPR): A joint meeting comprising of State Police, IPR department and media fraternity was held on the June 24. The meeting deliberated on issues relating to issue of security ID Cards for media persons in the state and also measures for verification of unauthorized press labels. DGP Nagaland K. Kire, IPS said that the proposed security ID Cards for journalists will enable them to access to restricted areas and during VVIP visits. The card is proposed to be jointly issued by the State Police Department and Press members after proper verification. A committee consisting of members from Police, IPR and media was constituted to look into the modalities and streamlining of issuing ID Cards and press labels. The meeting convened by DGP Nagaland at DGP Conference Hall PHQ was attended by host of officials from PHQ, IPR and media persons.
