IDAN signed a tripartite agreement on technology transfer between NTTC and Eco-Green on April 28.

Kohima, April 28 (MExN): The Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), as part of building a conducive ecosystem for building Investment and entrepreneurship in the State facilitated and signed a tripartite agreement on technology transfer between Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre (NTTC) and Eco-Green on April 28.
Abu Mehta, Chairman, IDAN expressed that the project will lead to enhancement of rural livelihood activities, stated a DIPR report.
The agreement signed included technology transfer for manufacturing of nearly 10 rural entrepreneurship machines and equipment, training, after sales and market linkages.
Metha also expressed that NTTC should be re-branded and shall be converted into a State of the Art manufacturing support centre, which will lead into more such engagements with national and international entities, centres of excellence and world class institutes.
The Principal, NTTC highlighted that the project will also include training for value added products such as banana fibre products, pineapple fibre products, and banana leaf tea cups, plates etc. This will enable rural entrepreneurs in Nagaland to specialize in their products and branding, with available resources in the state. Eco-Green highlighted the marketing potential’s that they have for produces from Nagaland in their existing marketing channels in Austria, US and UK. The potential of using the Stingy Nettle fibre and other natural fibres of Nagaland to build a specialized product category for export from Nagaland through Eco-Green Channel was also deliberated for creating a niche market for Nagaland products abroad.
The event concluded with signing of MoU and discussion on prospects of upgradation of NTTC with commercial, economic and innovation verticals under the institution.
