Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): The Integrated Extension Training Centre (IETC) Medziphema Department of Agriculture led by Dr. Watimongla Jamir, Academic Incharge and lecturer along with SDAO (Sugarcane) A. Temsu and Samsanghiele AO undergone outside study tour for the Agriculture Field Asst (AFA) the 25th batch Trainees from January 11 to 19.
The highlight of the tour included visit to IARI (Indian Agriculture Research Institute) New Delhi, where 64 trainees were appraised and created awareness on agricultural farms and crop experimental stations on latest trends in agriculture research.
They also visited Progressive Farmers Field to acquaint the latest progress of activities on Rabi crops, in order to give a chance to the Trainees to bring together all individual parts of the course they have studied during their 2 years training course i.e. 2014-2016 in IETC Medziphema, Department of Agriculture. The trainees also visited important historical places and other field activities in Agra, Jaipur and in and around New Delhi.
