IGAR (N) celebrates 26th Raising Day

Dimapur, May 29 (MExN): As a milestone in the history of IGAR (N) it is celebrating its 26th raising day from May 28 to 30.
The proceedings started with special Puja held at the Mandir of IGAR (North) on May 28.     
A special Sainik Sammelan by Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM was held at Karim Hall on May 29. Speaking to the troops, he highlighted the contribution of each soldier of the Assam Rifles in general and Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) in particular towards maintaining peace & tranquility in the state of Nagaland. He exhorted all ranks for their contribution to strive hard for achieving excellence. He also felicitated the individuals of the Headquarter who had displayed exemplary service during the past years and gave annual cash awards. He also wished all ranks and their families’ good health and prosperous year ahead.
 A special ARWWA (Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association) meet presided over by Yashmi Singh, President, ARWWA, HQ IGAR (N) was held at HQ IGAR (N), interacting with all the families of Officers, JCOs and Jawans. She congratulated them on the occasion of the raising day and highlighted their role of Home Makers of the Soldiers involved in service of the Nation.
 Lieutenant General Rameshwar Roy, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, DGAR and Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh, AVSM, SM, GOC 3 Corps are likely to join on 30 May alongwith very senior serving and retired  officers and others ranks in celebrating the mega event of 26 raising day of IGAR (North).
