Mon, January 9 (MExN): Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) visited Assam Rifles Company Operating Base at Lungwa in Mon District. During the visit, he was given an update on the prevailing security situation at Indo Myanmar Border.
The General Officer interacted with the troops and enquired about their well being, a press release stated here. He visited Border Pillar Number 154 and 155 located on Patkai Ridgeline.

During his visit to Chief Angh’s house at Lungwa, he discussed the security situation with the village council members and exhorted them to continue helping Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquility in the area.
