
DIMAPUR, MARCH 6 (MExN): The Indira Gandhi Sports Academy, Kohima, Nagaland would be conducting a selection trial/test for induction of players for the year 2013 for under-14 Girls in the discipline of Football. The selection trials will be held on March 19 and 20.
A press note stated that interested candidates between the age group of 12 years to 14 years are informed to report to the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, Nagaland by 9:00 am on the day of selection. For school going students, admissions will be managed by the Academy. No TA/DA will be entertained for any candidates coming for the selection.
It is to be noted that 4 (four) Football Players from the IGS Academy, namely, Rokoseno, Ruth Rengma, Lhaitinlam and Nitsarho have been included for provisional selection by the School Games Federation of India to represent India in the discipline of Football (Girls under-17) at the World School Games to be held in France in April 2013.
Within a span of more than 5 years, the Football (Girls) players of IGS Academy, Kohima has achieved tremendous accomplishment and brought accolades to the state at all levels. In order to tap talented players and assist them in every possible way, the selection trials/tests for admission to the Academy is being conducted. Interested and potential candidates are informed to avail this opportunity to cultivate their talents and sporting skills.
