
Kohima, May 11 (MExN): India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) Kohima Conference 2024, one of the “largest educational extravaganzas” will be held at G Rio School, Kohima from May 23 to 25. The event well witness over 300+ students participating in various committees in a MUN format role playing various world leaders and learning diplomacy, negotiation, public-speaking and research skills.
The students will wear traditional on May 23 while on May 24 and 25 they will be wearing formals whilst debating with other students from classes 7-12 across 15 different schools across Nagaland, stated an official update received here.
The inaugural ceremony of the conference will be graced by the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan. The debate sessions will start on May 24 at G Rio School spread across 12 committees in 12 classrooms. This day will see simultaneous debates across these 12 committees and raise various moderated and unmoderated caucuses and challenges against other students after which they will have a lunch and a high tea break and at the end of the debating sessions a speaker series and a talent hunt which will see students showcase their talent.
The closing ceremony will be held on May 25. The end of the Kohima Conference will see three winners from each committee based on their performance, speaking skills, diplomacy and research about the committee and their portfolio followed by the felicitation of the best school delegation with a trophy, the release added.
