Zunheboto, January 24 (MExN): As per the meeting resolution taken on November 28-29, 2018, Ikiye and Itovi Joint Council Court has informed the general public that the Joint Council Court has imposed ban and restriction of hunting wildlife and fishing in the jurisdiction of Ikiye and Itovi Village with effect from February 1.
Hotoi Awomi, Secretary and Kakheho Aye, Chairman Ikiye and Itovi Joint Council Court in a press release stated that on violation of the aforementioned order, stringent action would be imposed as below: using any form of Chemicals for Fishing- Rs 25,000, Generator- Rs 15,000, Electric Battery- Rs 10,000, Hunting of wildlife- Rs. 15,000 and immediate seizure of any kind of weapons in their possession by the Council. After penalty is recovered, the Council stated that seizure of the defaulters will be released.
