Illegal Collection of Bus fares in Kohima

Vezo Luruo: These days, most city ride buses (Blue coloured) operating in Kohima are deliberately collecting Rs. 5 extra under some pretext, eg: high school junction to Razu point. The passengers who hand over 10 Rs. note for himself will get nothing in return where actual fare is just Rs. 5/-. The logic behind the game is that the conductors cleverly enlighten the passengers by making excuse of not having Rs. 5 change.
Folks! Let’s do some simple calculation here:
Actual fare (25 passengers X Rs. 5 = 125 Rs)
Illegal Fare (25 passengers X 10 = 250 Rs)
This is happening to all regular and passive passengers each minutes, each trip and each day. So, should we come together to put forward FIR against illegal fare collection?
As shown in the picture, I do appreciate the KMC (Kohima Municipal Council) for newly launched corruption free City ride buses. It is green in colour with proper maintenance. Please spot the picture close, it’s written “Check Corruption”
Hats off to KMC for making positive change!

Yanpvuo Kikon: In Bombay, we had monthly passes for regular commuters in buses and local trains. KMC or DMC could try introducing “Monthly Tokens” for regular commuters ranging from Rs.100 to Rs 300 or something like that. For example, if passenger spends Rs 300 for travelling 20 days to work up and down from office, then he could pay the whole amount in advance to the public transport authority and simply show his pass on the bus. I believe this could be an effective solution in curbing the "Change Nai!" situation. :)
