‘Illegal encroachment of govt land to be dealt with effectively’

Niuland District Planning and Development Board first meeting held 

Niuland, May 23 (MExN): The first District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Niuland was held at DC Conference Hall Niuland on May 23. DC and Vice-Chairman DPDB Niuland Ajit Kumar Verma IAS chaired the meeting, stated a DIPR report.

Minister for PHED and Chairman DPDB Niuland, Jacob Zhimomi in his address stated that any illegal encroachment of the government land in town areas will be dealt with effectively and urged the department officials to report to the administration for necessary action. Development of Niuland town is a priority and expecting various funds for the same, the Minister stated

He also said that the newly created district has the potential to become a metropolitan city and is confident to pick up the momentum of development in the district and urged all the officers to be sincere in their works. The Minister stated that a sub-treasury office in the district is needed and assured the gathering that he will pursue the case accordingly. 

Proposal for construction of new offices i.e. DC, SP & Police Reserve has been approved while identification for public Park and public cemetery in the district were also approved, LAPD 2022-2023 schemes for Gh-1 A/C has been approved and under which clock tower in the town area to be constructed. 

Meanwhile, Senior SDEO Niuland, Bohovi Yeptho highlighted the problems of the department specifically teachers shortage in various schools in the district for which the DPDB has agreed to recommend to the higher authority.
