Tuli, May 25 (MExN): The Inspection Team on check gate under Tuli sub-division dismantled one illegal tax collecting counter at the Tsungra Bridge.
According to a DIPR report, the Inspection Team headed by ADC Tuli held a meeting at ADC’s office chamber on May 24 and thereafter, visited Watiyongpang check gate for on-spot checking, stated a DIPR report.
The team was constituted in pursuance of the Home Department’s notification in regard to measures to tackle the illegal collection of money from vehicles at check gates and other locations in the State.
Besides the one in Tsungra Bridge, only authorized inter-state police gate and Forest Department gate are found functioning and other departments collecting booths like Veterinary, Geology & Mining, Motor Vehicle, and TTC toll gate were all closed, it stated.

ADC Phek and Additional SP Phek briefed the police personnel manning the inter-state check gate at Lanezho and Khezhakeno. The team was led by ADC Phek, Addl SP Phek, DTO Phek and DPRO Phek, stated a DIPR report.
Since the date of notification, the only toll gate under Phek district was closed and dismantled, besides that, there are no other gates set up by any department in the district, it stated.
