It was never in my wildest dream of pulling out wads of cash from anywhere called ATM (Automated Teller Machine) but it really did happened through modern innovative banking infrastructures. Yes, this is one of the most recent finest achievement of public utility where everyone’s trust and peacefully slept with their money on their finger tips. However, that’s reality dream seems to be a short life with tart electronic advise in all the ATMs “Can’t dispense cash” thus our sweet dream had been shattered with yet another unforeseeable dream of hope to live on hopes of cashless banking.
It was learnt that e-transaction was never in the protocol in demonetization scheme in the first place but when hit hard and cornered with the shortage supply of cash ultimately led to lose of many precious souls in the melee of cash rush yet another fertile brainwash game came up in the scheme of N.Modi (Quoted) “ I understand your suffering but remember now the rich people are suffering from insomnia, not a wink of sleep for them, your suffering is temporary for I am with you to solve this small mayhem with e-money through your thumbs” that’s how you’re convince as to me by the one-man army N.Modi and indeed this one-man army driving the country to the illusionary paradise of merry-land where he himself don’t know where it is just to end up to the road to nowhere.
In concord with cashless policy of cashless society, all the ATM are going dry making the poor rushing to the nearest bank for hard cash without which no question of buying their days to day grocer goods here in Nagaland. This agony is no different from demonetization as people had to maneuver serpentine endless lines just to encash a few thousand rupees from their hard-earned account.
Here the greatest irony is like asking someone to plough the field without a tool in his hand. Similarly, when there is no P.o.T. (Point of transaction) machines in any shop, agency, where on earth the bankers expect people to make cashless transaction which in other word is like putting the cart before the horse. Of course the scheme by itself is not bad at all so also the man behind this luscious scheme but without first thing first with proper infrastructures that supports the system the like of installing P.O.T. Data connectivity and net-accessibility, mass banking literacy the scheme cannot be achieved and this is what exactly happening with us today. Let us be more pragmatic in our approach rather than jumping into bandwagon of illusionary destination.
