IMDH Mokokchung observes Apollo Day

Apollo Day was observed at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung under the aegis of Ao Senden by conducting a free health screening camp on May 20. 

The event organising partner was North East Health Service, an organisation that helps, guides and assists any patient from any part of the Northeast states with their medical journey. Specialized doctors for cardiology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology and pediatrics were available at the health camp where about 420 patients were treated and free medicines were also given.

The doctors for the health camp were Dr Siddhartha Goswami, Medicine department, critical care expert, Dr Shameem Ahmed, Neurosurgery, Dr Chandra Kr Das, Cardiology, Dr Javiya Chetan Dineshbhai, Pediatrics; and Dr Pankaj Sukla Baidya, Gastroenterology.

Besides the health screening basic life savers training for doctors, nurses, police personnel, the fire department, Assam rifles, and Continuous Medical Education (CME) for doctors were conducted by the Apollo doctors.

Chubawati Longchar, President, Ao Senden, acknowledged the Apollo Hospital Authority and its doctors for providing their service at our doorstep. The Ao Senden also thanked the North East Health Service for the opportunity they have given to the people of Mokokchung. Additionally, he added, he expects other renowned hospitals to visit and assist those residents in distant locations in and around Mokokchung as well as those in neighboring districts, who are denied such advantages.
