Immanuel College 26th sports meet kicks off

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): 26th annual sports meet of Immanuel College got underway today at the State Academic Stadium Ground with Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman, Livingstone Foundation International as the special guest.
The special guest urged the students to be always ready to face challenges through strong determination and hard work. He opined that in life “even if we fail to be a torch bearer, we should never be discouraged and rather carry a mirror to reflect back the light.” He further encouraged the students to use their time judiciously in order to lead a disciplined life, being obedient and respectful towards others, especially their elders and seniors.
The inaugural function was chaired by Ashu Ritse BA, 6th Semester; invocation was delivered by Temjen Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. The welcome address was delivered by Th Sharatchandra Singh, Principal, IMC with special number by Linito, BA, 6th semester. The oath taking was done by Amento Swu, Games & Sports Secretary, ICSC. The programme concluded with a benediction by Vepu, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, followed by kick off by the special guest.
