Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The 29th annual sports week of the Immanuel College was held from November 1-3 at the DGC playground and the event culminated at the college campus.
The theme for this year’s was “Hard Work Beats Talents,” aiming to emphasise the importance of dedication and effort in achieving success.
The official kickoff was led by the Principal, Th Sharatchandra Singh, signaling the start of series of games and activities that highlighted the collective spirit of Immanuel College.
Following intense competition, the Blue House emerged as the overall champion, showcasing remarkable teamwork and skill. The Yellow House secured the 1st runner-up position, closely followed by the Red House as the 2nd runner-up, with the Green House securing the 3rd position.
Earlier on the inaugural programme Temjen Longkumer, Assistant Professor of Education welcomed the gathering while Arennokdang, Assistant Games & Sports Secretary, administered the oath to the participants.
The annual sports week not only celebrated physical prowess but also exemplified the values of determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, informed a press release from the college.
It serves as a testament to the college’s commitment to holistic development and fostering a culture of excellence, it added.
