Immanuel College holds farewell for last batch of higher secondary

Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): Immanuel College, Dimapur held a farewell programme for the outgoing class-12 students, also the last higher secondary batch of the college, at the college auditorium on February 5.

Dr A Loso Chalai, Chairman, Immanuel College in his speech exhorted the outgoing students to work hard. He brought an anecdote of Chandrayaan 3 to encourage the students to work hard and also encouraged the students to develop the enthusiasm of reading which will help them improve not only their reading skills but also to gain knowledge, confidence, positive outlook, values and employability. He added that to always maintain a link with the one in control; God, and to have virtues of truthfulness, humbleness, mercifulness and to do good to others so that the reward will come back.

Th Sharatchandra Singh, Principal, Immanuel College in his speech, recounted a glimpse of higher secondary's journey of the college from 1994 to 2024. Principal also announced to give a special package of free admission to the last batch of Class-12 students provided they enrolled themselves for BA and B.Sc program in the college, a press release from the college stated. 

Earlier, the programme was hosted by Wilen Zeliang and Pushen said the invokation, followed by welcome address by Angnyei Talem and BA 6th semester presented a special song. Remichon and Imtisanen delivered speech on behalf of the outgoing students and Imnawapang Longkumer from the students' behalf. Dr Meyila pronounced a special prayer for the class-12 students, vote of thanks was proposed by Ikato X Swu and benediction by Ngausina. The programme also witnessed various performances like poem recitation, dance, solo, etc.
