Immanuel College hosts annual spiritual awakening gospel prog

Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): Immanuel College held its annual Spiritual Awakening Gospel Programme on September 21, 2024, at the College Auditorium, themed "Seek the Lord and Live," based on Amos 5:6. The event featured Rev. Dr. Azahto Sema, Senior Pastor of New Life Church in Kohima, as the keynote speaker.

In his address, Rev. Sema emphasized the significance of prioritizing faith and nurturing a personal relationship with God. Drawing on Matthew 6:33, he urged attendees to seek God's kingdom first, underscoring the transformative power of God's grace through a compelling personal testimony. He cautioned that mere affiliation with a Christian family does not equate to true faith, stressing the necessity of being "born again" through a personal encounter with God. Rev. Sema encouraged students to embrace their faith actively, warning against the dangers of procrastination, which he noted is not in accordance with God's will.

The programme was structured into two engaging sessions. The first session was chaired by Mrs. Lanusangla, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology. Temjen Longkumer, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, opened with an invocation, followed by a testimony from Mrs. Jenny of New Life Church. Dr. A. Loso Chalai, Chairman of the Governing Body, delivered an introductory speech, and Amento Zhimomi performed a special song. The praise and worship segment was led by the Immanuel College Hostellers.

The second session was led by Khrutalu Dozo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, with invocation by Masakala Tzudir from the Department of Botany. This session included testimonies from Pelevinuo and Mrs. Ganga, also from New Life Church.
