Imnatiba calls on Central officials; highlights issues

New Delhi, April 14 (MExN): MLA and Advisor for Industries and Commerce, Nagaland Imnatiba on his maiden visit to New Delhi as an MLA called on the Secretary DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ramesh Abhishek and Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Anant Kumar Singh.  

Among various issues discussed, inclusion of road transport in the Transport Subsidy provision recently notified by the Central government under the new North East Industrial Development Scheme was raised with the Secretary DIPP as the State is hilly with hardly any rail, air and waterway network to benefit from, stated a press release received here.  

Issues on pending projects with the Ministry of Textiles were taken up with the Secretary of Textiles, said the release, adding that the Secretary assured to look into the matter and further proposed to visit the State at an early date to take stock of the problems faced by the artisans, crafts persons and weavers.  

The MLA and Advisor also visited the Nagaland State Emporium located in the city and interacted with the officers and staff. He observed that the State Emporium is not only a venue to market Make in Nagaland products, but also serves as the economic face of the State and therefore urged the officers and staff there to be dedicated in their work.
