IMPCC meeting held in Kohima

The Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC), Nagaland Chapter was held today at All India Radio, Kohima.
This is the first meeting convened for the year 2014. The main purpose of holding IMPCC meeting was to highlight the various publicity efforts undertaken by the member department and other development activities initiated through various State and Central departments.

Addressing the meeting, Director Engineering, AIR, Kohima, and Chairperson IMPCC, K.K. Rengma called upon various departments, especially those implementing centrally sponsored schemes, to coordinate and work together with various media organisations in creating awareness and highlighting their respective success stories.

Reviewing the last few months of activities, Rengma appreciated the members present for their contribution during the President’s visit and the Hornbill festival. He also acknowledged the contribution of various media organizations, especially DDK Kohima in providing wide live coverage of the AIR Kohima 50 years celebration. The house resolved to make an open invitation to all key departments and organizations in connection with centrally sponsored schemes and programmes to participate in the IMPCC forum.

In view of the World Day of Social Justice falling on 20th February, 2014, the house adopted a slogan “Unite to end violence against Humanity,” and accordingly to highlight the theme through various medium throughout the month. Officials from All India Radio, Directorate of Filed Publicity, Doordarshan Kendra Kohima and Defence attended the meeting.
