Implementation of Mission Life programme in Dimapur

Dimapur, November 14 (MExN): Implementation of Mission Life (Lifestyle for Environment) 2022, initiated by MSJ&E and Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, was conducted by Prodigals' Home at its IRCA centre, Fellowship Colony, Dimapur on November 14 with attendees from the DMC, Team Better Dimapur, Colony Council members, CHILDLINE Dimapur, staff and inmates of CCI, SG, IRCA.

The director of Prodigals Home, K Ela, while highlighting the dire necessity of maintaining a safer environment for the health and benefit of the present as well as future world, stressed on the immediate importance of adhering to a new lifestyle in accordance with the government laid down 75 Life Action Points, informed a press release on Monday.

Team Better Dimapur president and DMC member, Mhonchan, Lozua Kape, Coordinator, CHILDLINE, the treasurer and chairman of the colony, Tiameren and Arep Changkija, dwelled on the need for everyone to own up responsibility and start from each respective homes by religiously working for the environment thereby making the world safe, greener and healthier for the future generations. Suggestions were also introspected on issues ranging from recharging ground water, ground water pollution through irresponsible disposal of machine oils and waste parts, air pollution besides mooting to begin ' Green Club' Dimapur, the release stated.

The programme, chaired by IRCA Coordinator, Subotemjen, concluded with the reading of the 75 Life Action Points by IRCA staff, T Meren Jamir, Sunep Jamir and Casper respectively.
