Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The NBCC Convention Centre in Kohima unveiled its new “Vertical Garden” today, marking a significant milestone in environmental sustainability. The inauguration ceremony took place at 11:30 am, with Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of NBCC, leading the event.
Dr Keyho, along with NBCC members, warmly welcomed the Kohima Forest Division (KFD), acknowledging their commendable efforts in environmental conservation. During the event, Dr. Keyho praised the leadership of Chisayi, IFS, the Divisional Forest Officer, for the successful completion of the project.
The Vertical Garden, part of the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), features over 300 ornamental plants designed to enhance air quality within the Convention Centre. The initiative aims to serve as a model for urban greenery and air purification.
Both the Kohima Forest Division and NBCC members urged the public to support the initiative and protect the newly installed garden from damage.
