DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): An insightful and interactive outreach programme aimed at fostering tax awareness and promoting compliance, particularly focusing on e-Verification and Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT), was successfully conducted on August 11 at Hotel Acacia in Dimapur. This initiative was organized by the Directorate of Income Tax (Intelligence & Criminal Investigation), Guwahati, in collaboration with the Business Association of Nagas (BAN).

A press release issued by BAN said the primary objective of the programme was to empower taxpayers with a comprehensive understanding of the e-Verification Scheme, 2021, a critical aspect of tax compliance in the modern digital landscape.

Addressing the gathering, N. Furthermore, the presence of senior officers from the Department, representing both Jorhat and Dimapur, further enriched the dialogue and provided valuable insights, the press release informed.
