Indian Army holds recruitment outreach in Dimapur

KOHIMA, JUNE 1 (MExN): The Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Rangapahar, conducted an outreach programme at Maple Tree School in Dimapur on May 31 to encourage youth participation in the Indian Army, with a focus on both Officer and Agniveer entries.

According to the Defence PRO, the event saw the participation of more than 230 eligible students, including around 100 girls. The programme aimed to raise awareness about the various pathways into the Army, including the Agnipath Scheme and officer training routes such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS), and Territorial Army (TA).

Officials provided detailed guidance on registration procedures, login creation, eligibility criteria, and the recruitment notification for 2025–26. The advantages and post-service opportunities under the Agnipath scheme were also discussed, along with a Q&A session to clarify doubts.

In addition to digital briefings, students received handouts, pamphlets, and posters detailing the structure of the Indian Army and its various arms and services.

The Director Recruiting also interacted with Pritam Ghosh, Principal of Maple Tree School, and apprised him of the latest updates in the recruitment process for the 2025–26 cycle.

The outreach was part of the Indian Army’s efforts to enhance visibility and accessibility of recruitment avenues for youth in the region.
