
Booking started from 10am on May 21
Maligaon, May, 21 (MExN): In a bid to bring more relief to migrants, the Indian Railways plans to double the number of Shramik Trains, and also start 200 new time tabled trains from June 1. Booking for all these trains has commenced from 10:00 am on May 21, a press release from Subhanan Chanda, CPRO, said on May 21.
These special services will be in addition to the existing Shramik special trains being run and Passenger Special AC trains (30 trains).
Other regular passenger services including all mail/express, passenger, and narrow gauge services will remain cancelled until further advice, the release added.
Tickets can be booked through IRCTC website or Mobile App only. Booking of tickets through IRCTC Agents and Railway Agents are also not permitted.
Only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the Railway station. RAC and waitlist will be generated as per extant rules however waiting list ticket holders will not be permitted to board the train. No tickets will be issued onboard to any passenger during the journey. No tatkal and premium tatkal booking are permitted in these trains. Railway Passengers (Cancellation of Ticket and Refund of Fare) Rules, 2015 will be applicable for ticket cancellation. The advance reservation period will be a maximum of 30 days only.
Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to enter the railway station/board the train. The passengers will have to reach the station at least 90 minutes in advance to facilitate pre-boarding thermal screening. 05955 / 05966 Delhi – Dibrugarh Brahmaputra Mail.
05645 / 05646 Guwahati – LTT Express.
02067 / 02068 Guwahati – Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi Express
