Indoors started in 2015 as a three piece electro instrumental band with Saru Aier on the guitar, Meren Imsong on bass and Along Longchar working on the digital audio workstation. Their second original ‘Sleepstream’ was released on Indihut on June 11. Their sole purpose is to make good music and reach out to the people and make them feel good. They say that music is a never ending process and they learn something new every day, it is like a thirst, you get satisfied now but you get thirstier later and you want more. Saru says, “We Nagas should start to support each other. Encourage the local artist and musicians. Look at the people from Assam, Manipur, Mizoram etc. They listen to their own local songs, support their local musicians and encourage them. But we Nagas are not so supportive. Instead they troll or discourage them. If we are not supported at our own home then it will be hard for us to progress.” Along add, “We Indoors are still on the learning process and we draw our inspirations and motivations from our own Naga musicians and artist. We maybe not the best but our love for music is what makes us keep going on and on and we will continue travelling on this beautiful journey called Music.” For Meren Imsong, “if there is no road, make your own road. If there is no platform, make your own platform. Dont give up. Just believe.”
